Lexus NX Overview

The brand Lexus is not flirting with the possibility of what the future of motoring could look like. They are dictating it. This could not be more true than when we observe the latest Lexus NX. The newest range boasts a bag of innovation that pushes the envelope and is exciting in its futuristic appeal. Aesthetics aside for just a moment, the intention behind the Lexus NX’s tech is clear: To bridge the gap between motorist and vehicle.
The Lexus NX has achieved this objective wonderfully. The model is a showcase of the innate connection between the two, and how the driving experience can be elevated. This functionality has been made possible with the Lexus Driving Signature. Touches have been made to the body and suspension of the vehicle, which adds a harmonious element to the car.

The current range is available in 5 different models:
- Lexus NX 250 EX
- Lexus NX 350h EX
- Lexus NX 350h SE
- Lexus NX 350h F Sport
- Lexus NX 350 F-Sport
There are plenty of options available in terms of engine variants here. Customers have the choice between either petrol or hybrid engines. Lexus has ensured that the NX is an optimal performer. The model is capable of reaching a top speed of 200km/h. The NX 350 F Sport variant, in particular, can emit a maximum torque of up to 430Nm. For its size and performance, the vehicle also has a pretty frugal petrol consumption. The NX 250 EX model sips only 7.1 litres per 100km.

Claiming to be futuristic is difficult if the environment is not considered. Lexus has a long history of delving into hybrid technology, and it's only grown more refined with each new release. The Lexus NX also offers a hybrid option for its environmentally-conscious customer base. These models only produce 114g of CO2 emissions per km. As impressive as the blend of petrol and electric engines are, Lexus has not cut any corners when it comes to the performance of the vehicle. Similar to its siblings, the hybrid variant also can race to a top speed of 200km/h.

An exceptional addition to the Lexus NX range lies the Lexus Safety System +3.0. Whilst competitors no doubt do fit their vehicles with a range of safety features, Lexus introduces a whole safety suite to ensure that customers are protected. The NX is intelligent enough to brake automatically when there are oncoming vehicles, and even slow down for corners.
There is more. The safety suite comes with functionalities that include a Blind Spot Monitor, Lane Trace Assist, and the recognizable Adaptive All-Speed Cruise Control. A standout amongst the safety features is the addition of Safe Exit Assist (SEA). This technology can sense movement outside of the vehicle (whether it be from a cyclist or another vehicle). Lexus enthusiasts may also be familiar with the MyLexus App. This functionality offers a range of useful features such as roadside assistance and Wifi.
